Moore County ABC





 

Shortly after the repeal of Prohibition, the state of North Carolina established a Commission to study the best way to manage the controlled sale of alcoholic beverages.  After the state placed the responsibility in the hands of local government, Moore County opened the second ABC store in North Carolina.  Today Moore County ABC operates four stores as ​well as a mixed beverage department, which serves bars and restaurants throughout the county.
